Kaheksakand/8-Point Protection Star:

The eight-pointed star is the luck star. It was a symbol to protect from disease or evil. It also helps to guide you home. On Muhu Island it was called the Muhu Pine. The cross was worn to bring the wearer luck and strength and was said to push away bad
forces. This symbol has been widely used in Estonian folk costumes and household elements. Traditionally, the star was painted red for strength and protection.
