Exciting opportunity to learn how to knit traditional Estonian patterned mittens at Suvihari!

On the Friday of Suvihari weekend, June 23, two knitting experts from Eesti, Anu Pink and Anu Randmaa, will be at Seedrioru to conduct a mitten knitting workshop.

Tentative start time:       4:30 pm, Friday June 23

Workshop size:               Limited number of spots available.

Cost:                                FREE with the purchase of a weekend Suvihari pass!

PRE-REGISTRATION BY JUNE 7th is a MUST!

Materials:                            A materials kit including knitting needles, wool and written instructions in English provided free thanks to EFC/ESK.

What to expect:                These instructors (google them, they are amazing, they’ve written books!) will demonstrate how to knit traditional patterned Estonian mittens (labakindad) and get you started on your own pair.  You won’t finish them but the two Anu’s will be available on Saturday for further consultations.  Times TBA.  All who register will be notified of any changes.  Instruction will be in Estonian but don’t let language deter you!  There will be translation assistance.

Choices:                               The colours will be traditional dark blue and white.  However, you will need to choose an area of Eesti you would like a pattern from.  See registration info below.
